We’ve been shortlisted for Charity of the Year in this year’s Pride of Reading Awards.

Organised by Get Reading, the Pride of Reading awards celebrate exceptional courage, standards and success from individuals and business' across Reading. We’ve been nominated for Charity of the Year by Tom Clark, one of our trustees.

In his nomination, Tom said “For over 20 years, Larry Watson has led the Rising Sun Arts Centre in its mission to raise esteem and worth of our town’s residents without distinction, and has built a unique volunteer-driven organisation recognised locally and internationally.”

When told of the nomination, our Larry said he was delighted, adding “Many people give time and energy to the centre and this nomination is a great way to recognise the brilliant work that they do”

The Pride of Reading Awards are hosted annually by Reading's very own Chris Tarrant. Nominations are currently open and we look forward to seeing all the nominees – and the deserving winners.
