Terry Dixon, who has been arranging his Reading Walkabouts for a decade, will be leading us on a tour around our town centre on 24 May.
We’ll be meeting outside The Three Guineas pub at Reading station at 10.45am for a prompt start at 11am.
Terry, who recently came to our assembly to give a talk on Things You Didn’t Know You Didn’t Know About Reading, will share many fascinating and historical facts about our town. The tour will last about an hour and half, after which you are welcome to join us for a picnic lunch in Forbury Gardens.
The Sunday Alternative is a SECULAR congregation that celebrates life, meeting once a month in Reading. Members of the Assembly believe in Living Better, Helping Often and Wondering More, for no other reason than to make the most of the one life we know we have. In the company of a lovely diverse bunch of people, the morning is a lively combination of group singing, silly games, interesting words, and eating cake.
The Sunday Alternative welcomes people of all ages and all backgrounds.
The best way to meet new people is to come early and enjoy some tea, coffee, homemade cakes and savouries (all vegan-friendly).
This is a free event. All donations welcome.
