Hi, I'm Jon - I help with events, building repairs, and I curate the Rising Sun's YouTube channel: Rising Sun Arts Centre TV!

I first got involved with the Rising Sun in 1997, when I took up part-time work here as Book-keeper for a few years. I soon became a resident artist, and I'm still based here; creating music & video and I teach guitar, vocals, keyboards & songwriting.

As a volunteer: for a number of years I ran and performed at a regular open-floor night here called "The Sunday Sermon". I'm still involved with some events, especially our Here Comes The Sun Festival which is something I look forward to every year! I build the Tree Stage "tent" for HCTS and I compere.

Behind the scenes I have an ongoing involvement in DIY & building work - helping repair, renovate and improve the buildings - since 1998. I also help maintain the Arts Centre's IT network and admin the wifi.

I love the spirit of creativity, cooperation and community we have here, it's inspiring! :)
