Here Comes The Sun Festival

25 bands + 12 hours +  30 volunteers + 1 beautiful building = Here Comes The Sun Festival

Here Comes The Sun is an annual all-day festival that raises vital funds for the upkeep and maintenance of our beautiful Grade II listed building. Every year we showcase talented, eccentric, fun, thought-provoking artists.

The crucial moment

Back in the mists of 2010, when the hovercar had only recently been invented and families had to gather around a single lump of plutonium to keep warm, a small but intrepid group of volunteers at The Rising Sun Arts Centre created something. Some say that they created a monster, others say that they created the future itself. One thing could never be in doubt though: it was alive, and it was darned good fun!

The thing that was born on that sultry August night is now five years old and screaming on the floor of the shop. It wants attention. Your attention!! (and a bottle of Panda Pop).

Thank you - Here Comes the Sun 2014

A big thank to all artists and volunteers who took part in Here Comes the Sun on Saturday 9 August 2014. The event was even more magical that we hoped it would be. Here's to 2015!!!
