Guidelines for contributing to Reading Digital Quilt

If you are thinking of contributing to Reading Digital Quilt, here are a few things to think about:

• The new deadline for submissions is: 1 September 2020

• Your patch shouldn’t be political or attack any group or individual. We reserve the right not to feature any contribution which is considered offensive in any way

• If you want to make a video or short film, we have the resources and knowledge to help you. Please speak to Larry Watson for more help at: quilt@risingsun-artscentre.co.uk

• Please send as high resolution images/video as possible (Video ideally 1080i / 1080p, .mov, mp4 etc. Images ideally jpegs or png files)

• We are happy to accept found images and collages of images, but cannot accept original material if you do not own the copyrite

• Please film video landscape, rather than portrait

• We can send you a small pack of fabric and needle and thread if this would help. Contact us for your pack

• If you have fabric to share, in the first instance, please take images of your patch to add to the digital quilt

• Fabric patches of any shape can be donated. Ideally no larger than 50 x 50cm

• The quilt will be launched in late August on the Reading Live website: www.readingculturelive.co.uk

If you would like further support or information, please contact Larry on quilt@risingsun-artscentre.co.uk
