Hi Everyone

Just taking a break from cleaning out my fish tank to let you know what's happening at the Rising Sun this weekend.  (Which reminds me, that coral's looking a bit dirty might need to give it a polish...)

Saturday morning brings another BOOKFACE BOOKCLUB

An informal artists book group. Ideal for sharing your latest book finds and creations sometimes includes art and craft activities for bookmaking

We're open from 10am-12noon and it's only £4

Saturday evening sees another CLUB VELOCITY

The third Saturday of the month?  The third Saturday of the month at a certain venue in Reading?

Well actually, not quite! In order to make way for something along the lines a sun or something coming next week, this particular helping arrives seven days early.  Or so I'm told...

However, you can still expect another helping of one of the best band nights in town.  And the powers that be at Velocity HQ still have time to bring forth the following box of delights

TOMORROW BIRD
Your fave two-piece who deal in mighty heartfelt songs from the heart.Awesome

PEM
Your fave new singer-songwriter from Newbury. Who sometimes sings in French.  She sounds like Gillian Welch. Awesome.

THE UNACCOMPANIED
Great singer-songwriter. Main stayer of the local Reading music scene

We're open at 8pm and admission is £5 in advance via www.wegottickets.com or slightly more on the door

That's everything for another week, just to remind you that we are, as always, at 30 Silver Street, Reading, RG1 2ST (If you pop it into your satnav or Google, we shall magically appear!)
