Hi Everyone
I know it, you know it, in fact, We all know it, August only means one thing, it's festival time!. And if you've lived in Reading long enough you know that the only festival that matters takes place right here at the Rising Sun Arts Centre.
Yes, you've guessed it, on Saturday, it's time for HERE COMES THE SUN
25 bands, 12 hours, 30 volunteers, 1 beautiful building, 1 glorious Saturday in August... Here Comes The Sun Festival!
Here Comes the Sun is back again!! This huge one-day extravaganza of music, dance, drama, comedy, poetry, art, is our biggest event of the year.
Set in our rustically charming Grade II listed building on Silver Street, the festival runs on three stages, including an evening chill-out area and cosy back garden ‘Tree Stage’ (rarely open to the public).
This year's event continues to showcase some of the best music from the Reading area and beyond, with a host of bands and performers that leave almost no genre untouched! They'll be joined by all corners of the arts, from poetry and performance art to drama and cinema.
And, even though we say so ourselves, it's already looking like it'll be the best year so far!
