Hi Everyone

Circumstances have conspired to get in the way of things for I, your humble narrator at this present moment.  And once more,  you are either spared/deprived another regular pre-amble from myself (depending on your particular point of view) and we can go head first into everything Rising Sun related this weekend

(Again)

On Friday, we have the return of MADCAP MOONSOUP

Line up so far are bands TAPE IT SHUT (punk), HORSE ROCK (masked Surf Rock), STARKEY AND THE MOONDOCTOR (Mime) and other acts to confirm.  And once more DAVE KING comperes proceedings

We’re open at 7.30pm and it’ll only cost you £4 on the door to get in

On Saturday afternoon, we’re proud to be part of THE RIVER OF CREATIVITY PARADE

This Saturday, we’ll be marching through Reading Broad Street with the River of creativity. This fairy tale river will include an astonishing fantasy ship and amazing fishes. There will be music and dancing and at the end of the parade a short piece of theatre for children based on Tales from The Riverbank will be performed.  It will be HUGE!

The River of Creativity is funded by Reading Business Improvement District (BID) as part of the 2017 ARENA programme of Reading town centre arts and cultural events.

We’ll be starting in Broad Street at 12.30pm and it’s absolutely FREE!!

(YELLOW TEAPOT CAFE will be back later on this month)

That’s everything for another week, just to remind you that we are, as always, at 30 Silver Street, Reading, RG1 2ST (If you pop it into your satnav or Google, we shall magically appear!)

This Weekend's Events (20th to 22nd April)

Hi Everyone

It really annoys me how people nowadays are always moaning on about how things were better in the old days.  Nobody ever complained in my day... hang on....
