This Weekend's Events (5th to 7th June)

Every year between the end of May and the start of July comes the month of June. For many people, this means rain-soaked barbecues, rain-soaked picnics or camping in a flooded field in the middle of nowhere just so they can watch a band on a stage in the far distance who were the in thing last autumn plod through their back catalogue.
However, it's not all doom, gloom or Coldplay on tour. Here at the Rising Sun we have plenty of things happening this month. More things than shake a piece of barbecued chicken at (It could be a piece of chicken that's cooked to perfection or some chicken that's burnt on the outside and slightly raw on the inside... we'll let you decide!)
On Friday, we play host to SPRIGGAN MIST
Spriggan Mist's Myths and Legends tour concludes in Berkshire. Join the band as they play songs from The Myths and Legends album and old favourites
Support comes from acoustic duo KNIGHT & TUFFERY, playing a range of traditional, contemporary and self-penned songs.
We'll be open at 8pm and it'll cost you a paltry £5 on the door to get in!
On Saturday, THE SCARLET VIXENS present: A MAD HATTER'S TEASE PARTY!
Scarlet Vixens return to the Rising Sun with their bi-monthly bonanza! This time they're bringing all the crazy. It'll be a veritable Mad Hatter's Tea Party with added teeeease!! All the crazy and wonderful burlesque you can expect from a Scarlet Vixens show, with some added lunacy (just when you thought things couldn't get more bizarre....!)

Hosted by our potty-mouthed but gorgeous gal from the norf Miss KITTY PIMMS.

Tickets are available to purchase on Eventbrite - early bird rate of £6.50 rising to £8.50 and £10 on the door. These shows sell out every time so don't be a dafty, buy your tickets before it's too late!
Doors open at 8 pm, show from 8:30. Tickets are still available from Eventbrite at £8.50 or £10 on the door.
