Hi Everyone

Easter weekend arrives at Rising Sun HQ.  The sun is out (kind of), the sky is blue (well, very intermittently between the rain) and I've even heard rumours of a cyclist who stopped at a red light…

And with so much going on, and the town being all abuzz with something that makes the townspeople make some sort of collective buzzing noise it’s time to let you know what's happening at the Rising Sun this very weekend...

Just the one event this time around, it's on Friday and it just happens to be CLUB VELOCITY's 15TH BIRTHDAY PARTY

You heard that right, it's 15 years since the first Club Velocity at the Rising Sun

Not only will there be free cake and shizzle, but the powers that be at Velocity HQ are flying in living legend TV SMITH in from Devon to headline.

He was there in the early stages of the Punk Rock explosion and he certainly saw some history.

With over 40 years in the game, he is still living it.  TV Smith is not a walking cliche.  He is arguably one of the most underrated song writers of his generation.  He is a master.  No one comes near him in our humble opinion.

Young MATT STOCKL will be the main support.  Matt has come up through the ranks at Rising Sun.  He is an exceptional talent and ideal for this gig.

The most punk band in all of Reading THE RUMPO KIDZ are opening up.  They are probably the ultimate Club Velocity band.  A lot of fun, a bit shambolic, but they couldn't care less.  They drink, they drink a lot......

We're open at 8pm and tickets are £8 in advance via www.wegottickets,com or £10 on the door

That’s everything for another week, just to remind you that we are, as always, at 30 Silver Street, Reading, RG1 2ST (If you pop it into your satnav or Google, we shall magically appear!)
