Hi Everybody

An even colder than usual bank holiday looms, however I, your humble narrator, have an explanation this time.  Apparently, it's all to do with Elsa of Arendelle's disapproval of her sister Anna's engagement to Prince Hans. She's lost control of her powers and has fled to the mountains to protect her Kingdom and her sister from herself! The rain, sleet, drizzle and occasional hail are metaphors for the absence of love in her heart due to the dark secret she's been harbouring for so long...

Anyhow, why not let it go, let it go etc dry yourself off chuck another Frozen DVD on the fire (or maybe some election leaflets if they're taking up too much space), whilst we tell you about one or two things that you should come and see at the Rising Sun this weekend...

On Friday we have CLUB VELOCITY

This month's Club Velocity handily doubles as a birrthday celebration for Victoria Holt.  Not only will there be free cake and shizzle in abundance but also another fine selection of beat combos for the delectation of us all courtesy of Velocity HQ:-

On Saturday lunchtime we bring you something new in the shape of VINYL CLUB

Time to dust off your record collection and settle in for an afternoon of musical appreciation!

This weekend sees the start of a new Vinyl Club at the Rising Sun.  Inspired by similar events around the country, it’ll be a few hours of listening to albums the way they’re meant to be heard.  Attendees take turns to share their music with the rest of the group, from classic albums to hidden gems from your respective collections.

Anyone can join in, and the bar will be open for you to grab a tea, coffee, or beer to better help you relax with the music.

We're open from 1pm to 3pm, And it's absolutely FREE!

That's everything for another week.  Just to remind you that barring bizarre

unexplained phenemona, that you can find us at 30 Silver Street, Reading Berkshire, England, Europe, Northern Hemisphere, Planet Earth. The Solar System, Milky Way, Near Andromeda, The Universe, RG1 2ST  (If you put us in your google or satnav we shall magically appear)

Have a nice weekend!
