This Weekend's Events (26th to 28th September)

Hi Everyone

September appears to be winding to a close just as quickly as it arrived.  The leaves are starting to change colour, Matalan are getting ready to put up their christmas tree and apparently it's McBusted night on something called the X-Factor.

If any or all of the above, are far too depressing to comprehend, we have some little things here at the Rising Sun to take your mind off it :)

On Friday we briog you CLUB VELOCITY

Another fine selection of beat combos for the delectation of us all courtesy of Velocity HQ.  Not only will the cake of choice for this particular soiree be fruitcake, but there will also be the following:-

LUKE PAULO AND THE GRAPEFRUIT
The powers that be at Velocity HQ are proud to be helping promote the launch of Luke's new EP.  "Wonderful band.  Wonderfully intelligent band.  Wonderful." so says Josiah Oswald-Iommi of Cribbage Punk magazine

JACK CADE AND THE EVERYDAY SINNERS
Jack and his troupe are back with more tales from the Swale delta "Proper band.  Alert.  No messing." is the considered opinion of the Daily Sketch's Elisha Manzanera

THE OUBLIETTES
"Jazzy two piece. Expect great things."  is what Hamish Raccoon of the Evergreen Standard had to say

We're open at 8pm, and it'll cost you £5 on the door or £4 in advance from www.wegottickets.co.uk

On Saturday. It's time for FIESTA LATINA

A little piece of Cuba hidden away in Reading. A relaxed and friendly Latin party with lots of Latin music so you can dance, or just socialise. You can expect plenty of Salsa, tango and whatever the mood suggests: bachata, milonga, merengue and reggaeton. Maybe more!

We’re open from 9pm and it’ll cost you a paltry £6.to get in

That's everything for another weekend, just to remind you that you can find us at 30 Silver Street, Reading, RG1 2ST  (If you put us in your Google or Sat Nav, we shall magically appear)
