Hi Everyone
The sun is out, the weekend is nearly here. And the outbreak of unseasonal weather has brought the people out on the streets! Yesterday they were saying how lovely it was, today they seem to be a bit red all over and saying it's too hot.
And as, I your humble narrator can see a mirage of a 50 foot flying hamster from the window it might be wise to pop back into the shade and let you know what's happening at the Rising Sun this weekend.
On Friday, we bring you STAND-UP CINEMA
Screenings of the best locally made film and video plus rarely seen classics, obscure documentaries, cult independents and overlooked modern gems. Stand-Up Cinema is a collaboration between The Rising Sun Arts Centre and Real Time Video. To get your film shown at the next Stand-Up Cinema contact Real Time at info@real-time.org.uk
This month's main feature is FOUR LIONS (Chris Morris, 2010)
Four British jihadists set out to train for and commit an act of terror. It may not sound like a comedy but it is - and a very funny one. If we said it was written by Chris Morris you might bget the idea. As the group's competing ideologies clash, what emerges is an emotionally engaging farce - a comic 'tour de force'.
We are hoping to have members of the production team with us to speak about the film. (Keep an eye on our website for updates)
It'll cost you a paltry £4 on the door. Short Films start at 7.30. Four Lions starts showing at 8.00 pm
On Saturday it's time for BANDORAMA
The third saturday of the month? The third saturday of the month at a certain venue in Reading? Surely that means another helping of one of the best band nights in town.

Have a nice weekend! I'd better go Hendryx, J appears to be seeing the same mirage has tuned up his mandolin and seems intent on playing it a "flamenco influenced rodent madrigal, maaaan!". Looks as if Gary needs some help in persuading him otherwise...
