Hi Everyone

Did you know that a simple pocket calculator placed alongside your TV set can be a constant source of amusement?  If you don’t believe me, why not watch your friends’ faces as they try in vain to change channels with it!

And with that handy household tip out of the way, it’s time to let you know what’s happening at the Rising Sun this weekend

Friday’s a little quiet, but on Saturday we have BANDORAMA

The third Saturday of the month?  The third Saturday of the month at a certain venue in Reading? Surely that means another helping of one of the best band nights in town.

RAGE DC
“Living local Legends” so says Clive Obtuse from Vague Promoter Monthly

NOT FIT FOR HUMANS
“Best Band To Come Out Of Slough Ever” opines Gladys Seahawk of People's Friend Xtreme

JESUS & THE GRAVY TRAIN
“Tasty old school punk rock of the highest order. Many a seasoned gig goer rate these chaps” is the opinion of Jamal-Andre Raccoon of the Evergreen Standard Midweek

(Unfortunately, THE DeRELLAS have had to pull out due to personal reasons)

We'll be open at 8pm.  And it'll cost you £5 on the door to get in (£4 in advance from www.wegottickets.com).

On Sunday, MILONGA SIMPATICA brings you TANGO SELECT

A small, friendly afternoon milonga aimed at giving people a chance to dance tango in a relaxed and stress-free environment and this month we bring you live music from Tango Select. Tango Select play a selection of very danceable tangos, vals and milongas. Great for dancers or come to listen and enjoy the ambience and the friendly atmosphere of the Rising Sun.

We'll be open from 4pm-8pm  And it'll cost you a paltry £8. Join us.

Thatís everything for another week, just to remind you that we are, as always, at 30 Silver Street, Reading, RG1 2ST (If you pop it into your satnav or Google, we shall magically appear!)
