Hi Everyone

I know it, you know it, in fact, We all know it, August only means one thing... festival time! And it has to be said, the Hastings & Bexhill LudoFest is the place to be this summer!  An unparalleled joy for festival-goers and the envy of promoters everywhere in the known world

But even better than that, and if you've lived in Reading long enough you know that the only festival that matters is that one takes place right here at the Rising Sun Arts Centre.

Yes, you've guessed it, on Saturday, it's time for HERE COMES THE SUN 2019

Back for its 10th year, Here Comes The Sun is an all-day festival of music, arts, and everything the centre holds dear.

The whole building will be transformed into a colourful cathedral of culture, with music, dance, kids’ acvies, food, drink and much, much more. The doors to the centre are flung open to give our community all-area access, with performances happening on three stages - including the back garden! - and art and decorations cropping up in every conceivable corner. We even roll out the (fake) grass to make our courtyard a wonderful play area for kids!

As it's our 10th Here Comes The Sun, we're planning some truly special celebrations. We're happy to announce that this year's line-up will see the HCTS debuts of punk popsters Launch Control and murder balladeer Master of None, plus the return of local legends New Puritans. We're also happy to welcome back Game On! Improv for another hilarious performance and an improv comedy workshop.
