This Weekend's Events (13th to 15th March)

Hi everyone

We return to your interwebular perusal contraption to inform of you everything of a Rising Sun nature that happens to be occuring this very weekend.  Very much in the manner of a three-legged dog running through the park regardless of its precarious sense of balance

On Friday, we bring you THE BIG UNITDY NIGHT OUT

The Big Untidy Night Out specialises in bringing new unusual talent into the Rising Sun.  Singers, songwriters, poets, punk outfits, ambient experimentalists, sensational cellists and demonic banjo-players…the possibilities are endless.

This month's bill includes the return of HORSE ROCK, the inimitable, incomparable KAT SINCLAIR.  Not only this but THE PURPLE LIGHTS and NICK MARSHALL will also be gracing us with their presence.

We're open at 8pm and it'll cost you a paltry £5 on the door to get in.

Saturday's a little quiet.  While there's time to kill so to speak, our newest junior member of staff, Hendryx, J, claims he can beat my three-legged dog anecdote.

He says he once owned a dog with four legs...

(Gary, please stop laughing, he is rather new round here.  Give him time. He'll learn....)

Finally, on Sunday, MILONGA SIMPATICA presents TANGO SELECT

Reading’s own highly acclaimed tango band are back at the Rising Sun for another afternoon of live tango music. Playing a selection of tangos and vals, some of which you will recognise and others you may not. Tango Select play tracks which are a delight for dancers and great to listen to as well.

We're open from 4.30pm to 8pm.  And it'll cost you £8 on the door

That's everything for another weekend, just to remind you that you can find us at 30 Silver Street, Reading, RG1 2ST  (If you put us in your Google or Sat Nav, we shall magically appear)
