This Weekend's Events (12th to 14th June)

Hi Everyone

Given the recent sad demise of Christopher Lee, you may be intrigued to find out that we have organised an impromptu tribute.  In honour of one his greatest roles, a giant Wicker Man has been assembled in our back yard, just because we can!

The only thing left to decide is whether we play his album of Christmas songs or his concept album about the life of Charlemagne  (Gary, can you PLEASE tell Kevin that we are NOT putting any Quo on!  Cheers mate)

We have just the one event this weekend.  It's on Friday, and it just happens to be THE BIG UNTIDY NIGHT OUT

The Big Untidy Night Out specialises in bringing new unusual talent into the Rising Sun.  Singers, songwriters, poets, punk outfits, ambient experimentalists, sensational cellists and demonic banjo-players…the possibilities are endless.

This time around THE DEAD RAT ORCHESTRA bring their Tyburnia tour to Big Untidy and the Rising Sun.  This is a thematic tour based on the location of England's gallows sites.

This evening of great delights also includes the return of OLDER WISER HARDER

We're open at 8pm and it'll cost you a paltry £8 on the door to get in.

That’s everything for another week, just to remind you that we are, as always, at 30 Silver Street, Reading, RG1 2ST (If you pop it into your satnav or Google, we shall magically appear!)

Have a nice weekend!
