Hi Everyone

For a second consecutive week, circumstances have once more conspired to get in the way of things for I, your humble narrator at this present moment.  And once more,  you are either spared/deprived another regular pre-amble from me (depending on your particular point of view) and we can go head first into everything Rising Sun related this weekend

Friday sees another BIG UNTIDY NIGHT OUT

The Big Untidy Night Out specialises in bringing new unusual talent into the Rising Sun.  Singers, songwriters, poets, punk outfits, ambient experimentalists, sensational cellists and demonic banjo-players, the possibilities are endless.

This month features the return of guitar innovator ANDY MOIR and the versatile and technical excellence of jazz band BARON MARA. Will be a fantastic evening of musical virtuosity.

We’re open at 8pm and admission is only a paltry £4 on the door

Saturday morning brings another BOOKFACE BOOKCLUB

An informal artists book group. Ideal for sharing your latest book finds and creations sometimes includes art and craft activities for bookmaking

We're open from 10am-12noon and it's only £4

Saturday afternoon sees the return of the YELLOW TEAPOT CAFE

The Yellow Teapot Cafe might do everything a cafe might do. You can buy tea, coffee and soft drinks, biscuit and cake. But we are an event, a haven for those who like to relax, look at books, be creative and drink tea.

We're open from 1pm to 3pm and it'll cost you nothing to come in!

Not only that but also... on Monday we have another BOARD GAME EVENING!

Come down for a friendly game, the bar will be open and there will be a selection of games to choose from if you want you can even bring your own and share the fun.

We're open from 7pm and it's absolutely FREE!

That's everything for another week, just to remind you that we are, as always, at 30 Silver Street, Reading, RG1 2ST (If you pop it into your satnav or Google, we shall magically appear!)
