Hi Everyone

I know it, you know it, in fact, We all know it, August only means one thing... festival time! And it has to be said, the Bexhill Ludo and Ferret Racing Fest is the place to be this summer!  An unparalelled joy for festival goers, the envy of promoters everywhere in the known world and the one thing that hipsters will talk about all summer... at great length

But even better than that, and if you've lived in Reading long enough you know that the only festival that really matters as that one takes place right here at the Rising Sun Arts Centre.

Yes, you've guessed it, on Saturday, it's time for HERE COMES THE SUN 2016

The Rising Sun Arts Centre will once again opens all of its doors (even the one that sticks a bit when try to close it) and let a wide selection of talented artists and performers shine in this year’s Here Comes The Sun Festival from 11am – 11pm.

Now in its seventh year, Here Comes The Sun is a one-day music and arts festival that celebrates creativity, participation and knowledge – the very ideals that The Rising Sun Arts Centre and its volunteers hold dear.

Set in the venue’s rustically charming Grade II listed building on Silver Street, the festival will run on three stages, including an evening lounge area and cosy back garden ‘Tree Stage’ (rarely open to the public). The tall, imposing former temperance house is the perfect setting for an event that has the ambience of a festival with the homely feel of a very large house party.

Described by one happy attendee as “like a mini-Woodstock”, each year the festival highlights some of the best music and arts from Reading and from further afield.

£7 on the door (under 14s get in for free)
