Given our brief mention last week that somebody famous has died, it appears that in the intervening days, somebody else who happened to be famous has also died.  And due to the avalanche of tributes from people who were never fans while he was still alive, tonight's episode of Lovejoy on ITVBe 2.66666+1 has been cancelled (unless something happens to Lovejoy in the next hour or two...)

But hey it's not all bad news!  (Unless you were looking forward to that episode of Lovejoy), we have a thing or two at the Rising Sun to tell you about

Friday sees another BIG UNTIDY NIGHT OUT

The Big Untidy Night Out specialises in bringing new unusual talent into the Rising Sun.  Singers, songwriters, poets, punk outfits, ambient experimentalists, sensational cellists and demonic banjo-players, the possibilities are endless.

This month's Big Untidy features punk brutalists ORDER#227 and the youthful jazz prog funksters THE FRACTURED LIZARD. The bill is completed by high energy punks OATY BISCUIT CULT

We're open at 7.30pm and it'll only cost you a paltry £5 on the door
