Hi Everyone

I know it, you know it, in fact, We all know it, August only means one thing... festival time! And it has to be said that they can be a mixed bag... The All-England Pun Carnival can be a rather harrowing experience whilst on the other hand, the Hastings & Bexhill LudoFest is the place to be this summer!  An unparalleled joy for festival goers and the envy of promoters everywhere in the known world

But even better than that, and if you've lived in Reading long enough you know that the only festival that matters as that one takes place right here at the Rising Sun!

Yes, you've guessed it, on Saturday, it's time for HERE COMES THE SUN 2018

The Rising Sun Arts Centre will once again open all of its doors and let talented artists and performers shine in this year's Here Comes The Sun Festival from 11am to 11pm.

Now in its ninth year (where does the time go?), Here Comes The Sun is a one-day music and arts festival that celebrates creativity, participation and knowledge ñ the very ideals that The Rising Sun Arts Centre and its volunteers hold dear.

Set in our rustically charming Grade II listed building on Silver Street, the festival runs on three stages, including an evening lounge area and cosy back garden Tree Stage (rarely open to the public). The tall, imposing former temperance house is the perfect setting for an event that has the ambience of a festival with the homely feel of a very large house party.

Described by one happy attendee as “like a mini-Woodstock”, each year Here Comes The Sun highlights some of the best music and arts from Reading and from further afield.

We’re open from 11am to 11pm and it’ll only cost you £8 on the door or £7 (plus booking fee) in advance from wegottickets - and under 14s get in for free.

Here’s the complete line-up/running order for the festival.  So check out who’s on where and when and you can start planning your day.
