Vote Larry in the Alt Reading awards

Our manager Larry Watson has been shortlisted for the Individual Contribution to Arts & Culture 2016 award in this year’s Alt Reading awards.

Now in their second year, the Alt Reading awards are a celebration of the businesses, events, venues and people who help make Reading unique. The individual contribution award specifically recognises the efforts of those individuals who have made significant contributions to Reading’s cultural scene, with the shortlist guest-judged by Mayor Sarah Hacker.

Larry faces some equally-worthy competition in this category, and his nomination comes as we celebrate our 25th birthday year. As Alt Reading put it “Over the past 25 years, the Rising Sun has not lost its values or atmosphere thanks to the hard work and passion of Larry Watson” – we can’t help but agree.

If you also agree, you have until Sunday 13th March to cast your vote on the Alt Reading website
