Icarus rises again this Sunday

Following the resounding success of last year's The Fall of Icarus, this Sunday we present another contemporary art show - Icarus II: The Rise.

The exhibition showcases recent work by 30 local young artists who tackle a diverse range of issues, from addressing questions of multiculturalism and ethnicity, to exploring the relationship between sound and ritual. 

There'll be a series of performances throughout the event, as well as installation pieces, all covering a wide variety of practices and disciplines, including abstract painters, claymation, surreal mime, spoken word and sculptural work that examines the affects of the male gaze.
