Hallowe'en Hijinks at the Rising Sun this week

We’ve got plenty of treats for you this Hallowe’en week, with three spook-tacular events at the Rising Sun Arts Centre.

First up is the annual Finchies Bar Hallowe’en Party on Tuesday 24th November 7:00-9:00pm. Finchies is an evening bar run by people with learning disabilities, and it’s typically a relaxed venue for meeting friends, chatting, having a drink and generally chillin’. But this Tuesday it’s time to get dressed up for our annual spooky shindig.

Then, Friday 30th October brings the Club Velocity Hallowe’en Bash. Headliners the Go-Go Cult are always dressed up in their best masked-robber outfits, Horse Rock will don their trademark luchador masks, while Big Zero… well, they might dress up too! But it’ll be a fun evening of twangy guitars and other things that go bump in the night.

Finally, Saturday 31st October is our Hallowe’en Swing Fancy Dress Ball. This fundraiser for the centre’s Year of Culture 2016 programme will see swing music playing, the place jumping, and you in costume! And before the amazingly wonderful Heather Jayne and The Red Shoes provide live music, we'll be offering some free dance classes to let you find your feet. We'll be running a Rock n Roll class at 2pm that afternoon, and a lindyhop class at 8pm shortly before the party hits full swing!
