Get creative this weekend

Damien's picture

Sunday 5th July sees local artists descend on the centre for a day of creative skill sharing.

Running from 10am till 4pm, our Get Creative Skill Share Day gives you the chance to learn new creative skills ranging from book-binding and jelly printing to building an app for your smartphone.

The workshops are running all day – and so will the café – and start from just £3 a session. And this celebration of local artists and makers coincides with Reading Arts Week and Jelly's Open for Art weekender so the town should be feverish with creative people!

All the artists and makers have given up their time to run taster workshops in support The Rising Sun Arts Centre for this event at which the aim is to raise money for the centre and its 2016 Year of Culture programming. This event is a great opportunity to celebrate and highlight all that the amazing local artists and makers in Reading have to offer.
