Each year the festival highlights some of the best music from Reading and from further afield, and 2016 is no exception. We’re proud to announce that local break-out stars Area 52 will be joining us this year, mere weeks ahead of their second Reading Festival appearance. Festival favourite folk duo The August List are also on the bill, alongside two absolute stand-out performers from last year’s event – dynamic cellist Jo Quail and our resident classical pianist Maija Tuomi-Nikula.

Pete Hefferan – no stranger to the centre having performed as part of many bands over theyears – will be giving a solo performance and Julia Titus will be bringing her own brand of relaxed and inspiring singing to the centre. A trio of fantastic singer-songwriters – Jodie O’Callaghan, Kat Sinclair and Matt Stockl – round-up this first batch of artists, with more to follow in the coming months.

This year’s festival will also see the return of our outdoor cinema. There’ll also be plenty of activities for children and adults, plenty of food and drink, and plenty of fun all round!

Here Comes The Sun takes place on Saturday 13th August, 11am-11pm. Get it in your diaries!
