We’re proud to announce the first wave of acts coming to our mammoth tenth Here Comes The Sun music and arts festival on Saturday 17th August.

Here Comes The Sun is an all-day festival of music, arts, dance, children’s activities, food, drink and everything the centre holds dear. From 11am to 11pm, the whole Grade II listed building will be transformed into a colourful cathedral of culture. The doors to the centre are flung open to give our community all-area access, with art and decorations cropping up in every conceivable corner and performances happening on three stages – including the back garden. We even roll out the (fake) grass to make our courtyard a wonderful play area for kids!

As it’s our tenth year, we’re planning some truly special celebrations, starting with the first round of names joining this year’s line-up.

We’re very happy to welcome back performance poet extraordinaire AF Harrold who’ll bring his distinct voice to the festival once more. We’ll also see return performances from rock duo WOLFS, punk elder statesmen New Puritans and electronic guru Tiger Mendoza. And Reading’s finest improv comedians reunite as Game On! Improv bring another hilarious performance, as well as a workshop where you can learn the fundamentals of improvised comedy.

Making their Here Comes The Sun debuts are political pop punk three-piece Launch Control, moody songsmith Master of None and father/daughter riffing rock duo Voodoo Radio. Plus we’ll have indie newcomers Harroland and the minimalistic and haunting sounds of KT King.

On top of all this, we’ll have some exciting new children’s activities, the return of our outdoor cinema, food, drink, and the kind of décor fitting for a tenth anniversary celebration. And there’s so much more to be announced, so keep checking our website and social media channels over the coming months.

So join us once again for the biggest house party of the summer!
