Final acts announced for Here Comes The Sun 2018

Fresh from being awarded with the Outstanding Contribution to Culture at the Reading Cultural Awards, we're very pleased announce the final acts and activities for this year!

Let's start with Limpopo Groove, who’ll get you dancing to their own infectious brand of Zimbabwean-inspired music. Plus, there’s the pulsing electronica of Tiger Mendoza, the moody storytelling of folk trio Little Red and a solo turn from Valeras singer Katie King.

Returning to this year’s event for another turn are Nightjjarr, who brings a whole new definition to “one-man band”, Natalie Wilcox, who wowed us last year with her tap dancing and showtunes, and more anarchy from our very own Zap! Comedy group. We’ll also be highlighting some of our regular contributors, with a demonstration from the dancers from our Balboa Mondays class and a showcase for performers from our Open Page/Open Stage collaborative events. And if you keep your eyes peeled, you might just catch a special performance from the team at Game On Improv!

We’re also very pleased to announce we’re once again partnering with our neighbours at Silver Street Studios who’ll be showcasing live session performances from the studio, streaming on Facebook Live throughout the day. And the centre will have some extra decorations this year, with unique art pieces from Reading University art graduates Jasper Stinchcombe and Alice Banfield.

What a cracking day we'll all have! And remember you can grab your ticket in advance this year, too!
