Everybody's talkin' 'bout the Rising Sun

Damien's picture

We've been lucky enough to get a mention in both the printed and online arts press this week.

First up, performer and music writer Alan Clayson – no stranger to the centre thanks to his Clayson Sings Chanson evenings, and more besides – has written about us in the latest issue of R2 (Rock'n'Reel) magazine in a short piece about is in their “Venues We Love” column. There he waxes lyrically about our “...intangible something else...” and praises our “...something-for-everybody...” approach to the arts.

The full article can be found in the magazine, on sale now in WH Smith (and other good newsagents).

The other big headlines we've grabbed are the two nominations we received in the first annual Alt Reading awards. We're nominated for both Venue of the Year and Here Comes the Sun is up for Event of the Year, with the hard work of our volunteers praised in both nominations. Please do take a minute to cast your vote in support of the centre before voting ends on Sunday 4th April at midnight.
