Dancers wanted to make themselves at Home

Reside Dance are offering you the chance to take part in a unique new project on Sunday 30th April.

Home at The Rising Sun is a promenade performance that invites audience members on an immersive and interactive journey to reimagine the centre as a place of home. Paying homage to our unique history, the piece facilitates new creative patterns of use through dance, poetry, music, video projection and sculpture.

Reside Dance will perform alongside The Sun Poets group and up to 30 participants from the local community – which is where you come in. Reside Dance are looking for fifteen local 11-15 year-olds and fifteen adults (16 years and over) to take part in a dance workshop and rehearsal that lead to two performances in the evening.

Participants of all abilities are welcome to take part. The workshops will run on the afternoon of 30th April (2.30pm to 5pm), and because spaces are limited, you’ll need to book your spot in advance online. It’s £3.78 for 11-15 year-olds and £5.90 for 16+ (prices include booking fee)

Of course, if you just want to watch what our volunteers, participants and professional dancers have put together, you can book your place of the two evening performances. Entry is free, but spaces are limited so book online to avoid disappointment
