All hands on deck this weekend

We’ll be giving the centre a much-needed clean-up – and a lick of paint, too!

There’s loads going on at the Rising Sun this Bank Holiday weekend. Not only do we have the wonderful Abdoulaye Samb bringing a wonderfully intimate experience of African/Senegalese music on Friday night, with The Reading Kabaret Kollective returning on Saturday night, but we’ll be rolling up our sleeves for a good ol’ Spring Clean, too!

Saturday will bring a day of cleaning, tidying, sorting and inevitable “you can’t throw that out!” conversations, while Sunday and Monday will see our volunteers throw several new coats of paint around the inside and outside of the centre. It’s the perfect time of year for us to give the place a bit of a facelift, ready for the big events of the summer and beyond.

If you fancy giving us a hand, then pop us an email to programming@risingsun-artscentre.co.uk so we can get an idea of numbers. Then we can get the whole place looking shiny and good as new!
