Here Comes The Sun Festival 2024

Get ready for a day of art, music and more as the Rising Sun Arts Centre opens its doors for the annual Here Comes The Sun festival. The centre will be transformed into a vibrant celebration of all the things the Centre and its volunteers hold dear. Bunting, fake grass, lots of colour and a glorious programme of arts all over the building! We have an incredible lineup of talented musicians and performers across 3 stages, captivating art installations and a host of family-friendly activities.

  • Headlining the festival with their ska is The Skandal

  • Dolly and the Clothespegs

  • Prog-psych-jazz-fusion-art-rock project Strangers in Transit

  • Satin Beige will be bringing their cello-infused, lyrically soulful R'n'B to the Tree stage

  • Satirical double bass-playing songwriter Grant Sharkey

  • Rising Sun regulars Artists Link-Up will be showcasing the best of their performers!

  • Jimmy the Dog

  • Daughter of the Water

  • Delta

  • Alternative Folktronica from Lee Switzer-Woolf

  • Bored Slippy will be providing noisey indie rock

  • Jackie Doe and The Uncertainty Of Passion returns bringing a mix of folk, tango and French music influences

  • A showcase from the regulars from the monthly Dreading Slam Poetry nights!
