A fantastic, gentle walk with Terry Dixon, celebrating the 30th birthday of the Rising Sun Arts Centre, taking you through the history of the building and some of the people of Reading. A fun, interactive walk, with extra activities for children if they come along.
Some of the topics Terry will cover include; Alfred Waterhouse, local pubs and roads, temperance and so much more.
Start: Outside Reading Town Hall at 10am
End: The Rising Sun Arts Centre
Duration: 2 hours / 3 miles long (with an option to leave the walk early if you like and head to the Rising Sun and avoid a hill!).
Refreshments: At the end of the walk, please join us for very reasonably-priced refreshments, tea and cake at the Rising Sun Arts Centre.
Maximum number of people on the walk is 20. This is a socially distanced event. Booking must be made in advance.
