G K Field is a queer nonbinary artist living and working in Reading. They run an artist-led gallery space Garage Gallery 62 (@garagegallery62) offering free space to explore and experiment. They are a member of Double Okay (dream queer and trans artist trio @wearedoubleokay) and co founder of STASH (East Reading art collective). Within their work they explore the idea of ‘place’ landscapes that can be occupied by an imagined body. Incorporating painting, projection and performance. A drag alter ego Mister Frank occupies these imagined and inner landscapes in interdisciplinary performances. Mister Frank is on an exploration of romantic love in these landscapes, music can sometimes be an initial way to explore the feelings and stories attached to romantic love.
This is part of the Emerging Voices project, commissioned by the Rising Sun Arts Centre with Arts Council Funding, and curated by Queer and Reading-based artist, Ollie Musson.
