Now in its sixth year, Here Comes The Sun is a one-day music and arts festival that celebrates creativity, participation and knowledge – the very ideals that The Rising Sun Arts Centre and its volunteers hold dear.
Set in the venue’s rustically charming Grade II listed building on Silver Street, the festival will run on three stages, including an evening lounge area and cosy back garden ‘Tree Stage’ (rarely open to the public). The tall, imposing former temperance house is the perfect setting for an event that has the ambience of a festival with the homely feel of a very large house party.
Described by one happy attendee as “like a mini-Woodstock”, each year the festival highlights some of the best music and arts from Reading and from further afield.
